How Much Can You Earn?
Oman Air's entry to oneworld has opened up a world of status credit earning options for savvy frequent flyers. For optimum accrual, enquire with our consultants to utilise QF flights from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to Asia. Alternatively, Malaysia Airlines flights can also be booked via Kuala Lumpur. Travellers can earn between 330-640 Status Credits on these flights when you go to Europe.
For example, a one-way flight between Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Manila or Jakarta to Muscat on Oman Air in Business Class can get you about 100 Status Credits and 4,250 Qantas Points. Then onto London, for example, earn up to 5,000 Qantas Points and 60 Status Credits with Oman Air. Pair that with Qantas flights from Australia to your Asian gateway, then you could have earned yourself up to 640 Status Credits.
Example routing: Sydney - Jakarta [Qantas] - Muscat - Milan [Oman Air] = 560 status credits return
Melbourne - Kuala Lumpur [Malaysia Airlines] - Muscat - Istanbul [Oman Air] = 330 status credits return
Additional Status Earning Opportunities
Qantas status credits can be maximised for those open to a longer and more creative routing at various price points. Some examples are...
- Including a 2nd Asian stopover at Singapore, Hong Kong or Tokyo, adding an additional 40-100 status credits per direction
- Upgrading to 'Business Studio' on select aircraft and accruing 'First Class' status credits on those segments
- Adding domestic QF flights for a small premium on select routes to add an additional 40+ status credits per domestic flight [eg Melbourne-Sydney]
