Hawaiian Airlines has officially become a member of the oneworld airline alliance as the third US-based carrier, alongside Alaska Airlines and American Airlines. Adding Honolulu to oneworld’s list of global hubs.

While we’re still waiting for the Qantas Status Calculator to be updated, we anticipate Hawaiian Airlines to follow the status earning patterns of oneworld partner airlines. Typically speaking, partner airlines will accrue at 50% of the Qantas earn rate on a route where Qantas is directly competing. Whereas when flights operate in another international market, where Qantas doesn't fly themselves [e.g. Honolulu-Los Angeles], status earning reverts to regular rates.

Who are Hawaiian Airlines?

Hawaiian Airlines boasts a fleet of 61 state-of-the-art aircrafts - including the Airbus A321neo, Boeing 717, and its flagship Airbus A330. This aircraft is scheduled for long-haul routes between Honolulu and Los Angeles, New York, Sydney and Tokyo.

The airline has previously shared plans to update their A330 Business Class product sometime in 2026. This upgrade will replace the current outdated models found on the A330, currently arranged in a 2-2-2 format with 18 seats across 3 rows.
