Trudy Onboard Qatar Airways Qsuite

Boarding / Welcome

From the moment I stepped onboard Qatar Airways the service felt genuinely personal and attentive. My carry-on was taken care of immediately, with the crew placing it in the overhead locker and later retrieving it for me upon arrival.

Within moments of settling into my seat, I was presented with a glass of champagne. The cabin attendant introduced himself, offering a warm and thoughtful welcome. I was handed both the dining and beverage menus and invited to learn more about the features of the Qsuite- a gesture that set the tone for the entire journey.

Dining & Service

Dining onboard felt less like airline catering and more like a fine dining experience. A crisp white tablecloth was laid across the large dining table, instantly elevating the setting. When I couldn’t decide on an entrée, the crew suggested I try more than one- something that truly personalised the experience. So I opted for the fresh pita mezze, which was a standout, followed by a beautifully presented main course of grilled chicken, complete with a warm, soft bread roll. Another option was a rack of lamb with seasonal vegetables.

Service throughout the flight was seamless and intuitive. The crew checked in discreetly, offering refills or assistance at just the right moments. Whether that was topping up champagne, preparing tea or coffee, or transforming the seat into a fully flat bed, the crew were top-notch.

Qatar Airways Qsuite Seat

The Qsuite design is incredibly versatile and thoughtfully laid out. A full demonstration was provided, covering everything from the sliding privacy door to the seat controls and storage compartments including a hidden water bottle compartment beside the seat.

One of the most unique aspects of the experience was flying in a rear-facing seat. Initially, I had some reservations, but it quickly became a highlight. The only noticeable difference was during take-off and landing. Otherwise, it felt completely natural.

In fact, the perspective added something special to the journey, with the window view feeling broader and more immersive than expected. It’s a small but memorable detail that made the experience stand out.

Travelling with a companion, we were able to lower the divider between us to create a more open space. With the two seats opposite unoccupied, the partitions could also be lowered, forming a spacious, shared area. This is ideal for families of four or couples travelling together.

The ability to switch between privacy and openness is one of the suite’s strongest features, making it adaptable to different travel styles and needs.

Overall Qatar Qsuite Experience

This experience ended just as strongly as it began. Upon arrival, my belongings were once again handled by the crew, and I was personally escorted towards the exit with a warm farewell. If you're looking to fly with Qatar Airways we suggest getting in touch with one of our Airfare Specialists.
