To celebrate Qantas restarting flights to New York for the first time since 2020, they have announced a limited edition release of navy PJs for Business Class passengers. Along with this they have some special onboard customer items such as a custom amenity kit and New York inspired meals.
Partnering with Aussie fashion designer, Rebecca Vallance, to mark the occasion, the PJs feature a monogram of the Qantas “Roo” and Rebecca Vallance logo, while also incorporate the flight numbers QF3 and QF4 into the bespoke New York heart design.
Passengers will also receive a custom-created Rebecca Vallance amenity kit, with matching eye mask. Vallance commented “It’s an honour to partner with the iconic Australian brand that is Qantas. New York has always felt like a second home to me, and I’m so proud to be working with the national carrier to offer travellers some keepsake PJ’s and amenity kits to enjoy long after they have landed.”
Onboard you’ll also find New York inspired Neil Perry menu items to coincide with the launch of the new route. From Reuben sandwiches to the New York style baked cheesecake, Qantas will use some amazing Australian produce and put their own spin on New York’s most famous food experiences.
With New York being one of the culinary capitals of the world from its much loved street food to its internationally recognised fine dining, Qantas are focusing on incorporating these amazing flavours across their menus.
Starting from June 14, Qantas will operate three weekly flights from Sydney to New York, increasing to four per week from October. We will see this route transit through Auckland for the first time, prior to the 17+ hour flight direct to New York and be operated by the newly delivered 787 Dreamliner.
