Qantas has announced a change to the aircraft it currently runs on the Melbourne-Hong Kong route, going from an Airbus A330 to a Boeing 747.  The exciting part about this news is that the change will give passengers the option to travel in Premium Economy.   It’s a great little upgrade from the Economy cabin that has not previously been available on this route.

Coming into effect from 30Apr16, the flights to be changed run on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays each week, full timetable below –

QF29, Depart Melbourne 10:20am, arrive Hong Kong 6pm
QF30, Depart Hong Kong 8:30pm, arrive Melbourne 8am the following day

Premium Economy features more space and dedicated flight attendants, wider seats, and greater legroom.  Passengers also enjoy a Rockpool inspired International Premium Economy menu with several options to choose from, and handpicked premium Australian wines.  Complimentary amenity kits are also offered containing eyeshades, toothbrush & paste and socks on request.
